About GLAD

Welcome to GLAD

We are GLAD, Great Lakes Arts & Dance. We are teachers who were previously with STARS and have gone out on our own to create a brand new dance venture designed to better serve students of all ages. We are sad to leave the Soo Theatre Project but GLAD to serve you in a greater, more efficient way. Our faculty members bring decades of knowledge and experience to the studio, with a rare combination of professional performing careers and college education in dance. Our teachers have lived dance and are committed to making GLAD a productive and happy place to study. For more information about our faculty, click here.

We offer classes for both the recreational dancer and the serious student. Our students range from 2 1/2 years old to people who have been adults for a while. We offer competitive rates and family packages.

Through our classes, we strive to build lifelong values, body awareness and good health, self-esteem, poise, confidence, and grace. We provide our students with the tools they need on stage and in life, and the desire to continue their pursuit of technical excellence.

We believe that strong ballet training is the sturdy foundation upon which all dance skills are built and all styles of dance rely. While not required, all students are actively encouraged to study ballet.
